WHERE: River Island Park Campgrounds, Central Falls, RI (see site details below): https://maps.app.goo.gl/Wi5zwshKAAoXyrQL7
You are invited to join me in connecting more deeply with our beautiful Blackstone River and the Web of Life and to honor the July new moon in a relationship of interbeing, celebration, and listening deeply to and with nature. All are welcome – bring a friend – no RSVP necessary!! FLYER HERE.
In many cultures the new moon is a time for renewing or creating beneficial intentions – bring yours! For those interested in becoming more grounded in worldviews that honor and listen to the earth, HERE is a list of RESOURCES I have found helpful in the last year.
Our time together (about an hour) will include:
· Welcome, Calling the Circle, Making An Offering to Nature
· Brief Guided Attunement/Meditation/Intention-setting
· Communing & Listening for Guidance with and from Nature
· Sharing/Praising Nature with our Voices/Chants
· Closing, Gratitude, Dedication
SITE/WHERE: River Island Campground is a small public island in the Blackstone River at the border of Central Falls and Cumberland. You access the island via the pedestrian footbridge located at the back corner of the walking track at River Island Park at 1425 High Street in Central Falls. It is close to a fenced-in parking area for an apartment building, but you cannot park there. Park instead at the off-street parking at River Island Park or on High Street and walk around the track. Once you cross the steel and wood pedestrian bridge over the canal, you will immediately see a wooden deck area near a storage building. We will meet to the left of the wooden deck.
BRING/WEAR: close-toed shoes; folding chair or cushion to sit on (unless you are comfortable sitting directly on a wooden deck); something to protect yourself from bugs and ticks; willingness to listen to other-than-human intelligence. The weather is forecasted to be quite warm but clear!
